4 New Education Case Studies

New Line Learning

"With over 60 years experience, KI understands the distinct and evolving needs of the educational environment. They design and manufacture furniture that facilitates learning and interaction between students and staff. New Line Learning is an academy whose transformational learning vision is based upon a risk/resilience model. KI have provided flexible and adaptable furniture to allow a variety of work mode settings orientated around the sizes of user groups and activities being undertaken. Furniture solutions that maximize flexibility for teachers and students are at the heart of a successful modern educational environment and help students achieve their full potential."

International House

"International House is the largest private language teaching school taking up all seven floors of their new building in Covent Garden. All classrooms are equipped with furniture from KI. Torsion on the Go! chairs with chrome bases and charcoal upholstery are used in all the classrooms. In classrooms where more formal layouts are required, Portico tables are used with chrome frames and flip-tops in a Thames Oak finish."

Kaplan

"KI have undertaken a total package installation in London at Kaplan, one of the world's leading providers of lifelong education with operations around the globe. KI completed the four phases in Kaplan's listed building on a rapid programme, under difficult working conditions. Kaplan maintained their corporate image in the London college by supplying furniture from the KI Kaplan Standards programme developed in the USA. In conjunction with the architects, KKS Strategy, KI introduced new ranges and finishes into the scheme that had a more sympathetic approach to European aesthetics and tastes."

Atlantic College

"Atlantic College (one of the United World Colleges founded by Kurt Hahn) have since 1960 occupied St Donat's Castle - a 13th century fort on the north coast of the Severn Estuary. Daylight chairs were used in conjunction with Hurry Up! flip-top tables. Daylight has a mesh seat and back and was specified in a blue grey polypropylene surround finish and chrome frames for durability. The Hurry Up! tables were specified with a matching blue grey PU edge, white laminate tops and chrome frames. The Daylight chair is one of the lightest yet strongest on the market. One person may configure the room easily and quickly."
